CDVEC welcomes the Department of Education and Skills (DES) consultation process on the establishment of the new Further Education and Training Authority SOLAS at a time when 16 Education and Training Boards (ETBs) are being created.
We have produced a paper outlining our vision for Further Education and Training (FET) and our response to the DES SOLAS Consultation paper.
In our vision we put forward seven propositions, make a series of recommendations and respond directly to each of the questions raised by DES. Our propositions are made in the context of the purpose, beliefs, principles and challenges that have formed our organisation since its inception. We are fully committed to playing a full part in the consultation process.
