‘Lift your feet, trust the air’

An exhibition of arts and crafts from Finglas and Cabra was opened by Finglas poet Rachel Hegarty on Thursday 23rd June in Coláiste Íde CFE.

The opening included a poetry reading by Rachael and songs by The Forever Young Chorus and Band. ‘Lift your feet, trust the air’ is a line from one of Rachael’s poems.

There were 300 art pieces exhibited and centre stage was a performance by the Forever Young Chorus.

The event showcased the diverse range of creative skills that have been nurtured and developed in CDVEC funded Art Courses in Finglas and Cabra which are run in cooperation with local community groups and Home/School/Community Liaison coordinators.

Up to 250 people attended and all agreed it was a wonderful day and a great way to end the term.
