Junior Traveller Education
St. Joseph’s Junior Education Centre is a post-primary school for Traveller children. Courses are offered at Junior Cycle level as shown below. Courses are co-educational.
Junior Certificate: A variety of subjects, both academic and practical is offered
Junior Certificate Schools Programme:All students follow this programme which is co-ordinated by the Curriculum Development Unit and fully certified by the Department of Education & Science.
Outdoor Education: This is central to the overall development of our students and involves Hill Walking, Gorging, Rock Climbing, Canoeing, Fishing and Horse-riding.
Sporting Activities: Athletics, Boxing, Football, Basketball and Swimming
Psychological Services: The school has the services of a CDVEC psychologist one day a week.

Senior Traveller Education
St. Joseph’s Senior Traveller Training Centre provides second chance education and vocational training to young Traveller women. The work of the centre is an important and key element in securing social inclusion for Travellers and provides opportunities for participants to learn new skills, develop enterprise, and access education and employment whilst recognising and valuing Traveller culture and history.
The centre offers certified programmes at FETAC Levels 3, 4 and 5. The project is supported by a Crèche.
