The Bridge Project is a community-based alternative to custody situated on Parnell Street. It is managed by an inter-agency Board and staffed by the Probation Service and CDVEC. Participants are referred through the courts or the prison service.
Bridge provides a range of services to participants. Probation officers provide intensive one-to-one sessions and group work in addictions, offending behaviour and anger management. CDVEC Community Employment and project staff provide one-to-one support, and education and recreational groups.
CDVEC and project staff work with participants on an individual basis to provide the advice, information and support necessary to enable participants access suitable training, education or employment. All participants have access to one-to-one literacy tuition. In addition we have an education-based CE scheme where participants work on FETAC accredited modules in Communications, Maths, Food and Nutrition, Computers and other courses.
