Targeted Programmes
Throughout its history CDVEC has been involved in innovative programmes and out-of-school activities with young people. For example, City of Dublin Youth Service Board (CDYSB), which is the youth work development agency of CDVEC, has been in operation since 1942. There are also ten Youthreach programmes operating across the city. The organisation's Sports and Cultural Council (SCC) provides students right across the scheme with an extensive programme of sporting and cultural activities.
CDVEC has always been at the forefront of educational innovation. It has developed and delivers a range of non-mainstream programmes throughout the city. These programmes address disadvantage and social inclusion in a very practical way
